Beginners Mat
This short course is designed for complete beginners as an introduction to Pilates. You will learn the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES® Method, which is the foundation of every STOTT PILATES® class. You will be introduced to some of the essential exercises and the use of various small props. Essential for new clients, my beginner Pilates classes are all about striking a balance – giving you not only a great workout but also the sympathetic support, encouragement and reassurance that every beginner needs. This is the starting point for all further Pilates Mat classes.
Classical Mat
Mat based classes focus on strengthening the deep core muscles improving mobility and stability throughout the entire body. This is a great class for developing the moves already learned in the Beginners Mat or returning Pilates devotees who need a bit of a refresher.
Mat Flow with props
In order to increase challenge to peripheral strength, balance and core stability, we introduce a range of "small equipment" flex bands, fitness circles, toning balls and soft balls. This class will provide variety and make sure that everyone gets the best out of every workout. You will strengthen your core, improve your posture and alignment and tone your entire body. This class is suitable for clients after completing the Beginners Pilates Mat Course or if you are returning to Pilates after a break. A fun class with a bit more mind body co-ordination!
Power Paced Workout
This is a fast moving workout involving continuous exercise. You will transition quickly and smoothly through the Pilates exercises for a highly intensive session. To participate in these classes you will need to have participated in the Beginners course or have previous experience with another Pilates method.
CORE
An Athletic Conditioning method engineered for total-body power, strength and agility. This unique training program focuses on functional fitness targeting core strength and kinesthetic awareness leading to improvements in total-body strength and power. This multi-layered system is designed to help retrain unbalanced muscles, initiate the core, and build strength from within that will transfer on and off the playing field.
Total Barre
Total Barre is a dynamic ballet-based class that focuses on strength, flexibility, stamina and core stability in a combination of Pilates, dance, cardio and strength training. Using energising music to keep you motivated you will be taken through a flow of high powered choreographed sequences, using both the barre and small equipment. This is a fun low impact class and no previous dance or ballet experience is necessary.
